We’ll Get You Moving
Many of our patients living with Type 2 diabetes also battle with Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis (OA) causes joints to become stiff and painful, making it difficult to move. Exercise and movement are an important component in managing diabetes and for overall health. Diabetes Texas offers non-invasive, FDA approved knee injection treatment to help cushion the knee and increase patient mobility. Our treatment uses SUPARTZ FX hyaluronic acid injection to relieve the pain of Osteoarthritis in patients that do not get adequate pain relief from pain medications(e.g. Advil ®, Tylenol ®, Aleve ®, etc.).
Lab & Diagnostic Testing
Diabetes Texas offers onsite lab testing for our patient’s convenience. Our labs are opened from 7am to 1pm every day. This allows us to run specialized testing without delaying our patient’s results.
What are thyroid disorders?
Thyroid disorders are conditions that occur when the thyroid doesn’t function like it should. Two main types of thyroid disorders exist: hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid is overactive, while hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid is underactive. Other conditions may also affect thyroid function, but they’re less common.
What is diabetes?
Diabetes Mellitus is a group of conditions that affect the body’s ability to use blood sugar. The body needs proper blood sugar levels to operate the brain, muscles, and other tissues. When blood sugar levels are out of balance, the body suffers.
Two primary types of diabetes exist: type 1 and type 2. While Type 1 Diabetes usually begins in childhood, Type 2 Diabetes usually begins later in life. Both of these conditions cause similar symptoms, which may include:
